Important Date & Times
RDC 2025 Winter Showcase Details:
- Date: Sunday December 14th
- Location: South Shore School – 4800 S. Henderson St. 98118 (in the rotunda area)
- Performance Times: There will be multiple showcases, time are TBD
- Who: All RDC dancers/classes will perform (except the toddler/caregiver and technique & progressions/strengthening classes)!
- What: This is a casual, work-in-progress performance, so each classes dance is only 1-2 minutes long. Dancers will sit with their families before and after their performance and we will call them up one class at a time.
- Attendance: A reminder to attend every class between now and December 14th! It’s important your dancer be in class for their last three classes before the performance, so they feel confident and prepared! If a dancer misses a class in the last two weeks, they may not be able to participate in the performance.
- Performance schedule:
- Each class has been assigned to one showcase and given an estimated performance time.
- 75% of our dancers have multiple classes and/or multiple dancers in their family. It’s a good thing, but also presents a challenge when scheduling performances. We’ll try our best to assign families to just one showcase time, but if you have multiple classes and/or students, your dancers will likely be in more than one showcase.
- If you’re enrolled in a combo class, your dancer will only do one dance/genre. Pay attention to which one, it's listed!
- Cost: We’re asking for a $-$10 per family suggested donation at the door, via cash/check or Venmo/Paypal. We don’t have a ticket cost for this performance, but we do have to pay to rent the venue/audio equipment and pay our staff, so every little bit helps!
- How many people can you invite? You may invite up to 10 people per family, excluding your dancer.
- What should dancers wear: No costumes, but dancers can wear regular dance clothes. Festive/holiday/winter attire is also encouraged for both dancers and the audience! No need to change clothes for multiple classes, just bring your different shoes.
