LOCATION: Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center - 400 S. 2nd St. Renton
TICKETS & SEATING:
- Tickets will go on sale for recital volunteers on May 2nd, and on May 3rd at 10am for everyone else.
- There will likely be a limit on the number of tickets you can purchase per dancer, per show, to start. If we have shows that haven’t sold as many tickets as we have seats for by May 18, we’ll open those up for people to purchase more.
- It is assigned seating, so you will choose your seats when you buy them online.
- Tickets will be $22 each, including fees.

Important Costume Dates
- Week of January 22-27: Costume measurements taken in class
- February 5: Costume deposits due
- Week of May 6-11: In-class costume/tight distribution
Costume Process & Details
- RDC staff will take dancer’s measurements in class the week of January 22-27th. Our teachers choose the costumes for each class and then we size them carefully and order everything your dancer needs. Don’t worry, we account for growth between January and June!
- Dancers will get a different costume for each of their classes. If you’re enrolled in a combo class (Ballet/Tap, Hip Hop/Acro) your dancer will do two dances and they’ll get a 2 in 1 costume, for one cost.
- There is a $70 per class costume deposit due up front that has been posted to your account. The actual costs of each costume are reconciled after we order them, and your account will be charged for any additional costs or credited for any difference in March.
- We work to keep costs down and our deposit amount is set at $70 to hopefully cover all costume costs, but costumes have increased quite a bit in cost over the last few years, so you should expect that you will have a small balance due, even after the $70 deposit.
- Costume, tights and accessories are included with your costume purchase.

- You will own these costumes and although it’s a LOT of money for an outfit they are going to wear only a few times, most of our dancers wear them for several years after for dress up, costume weeks at RDC and other things!

Picture Info
- Picture Days are not mandatory, but it's a great way to document your dancer’s year. We print a picture book each year with all class pictures, so you/your dancer will go down in RDC history!
- Each class has their own specific time slot for their pictures.
- Every dancer will take an individual photo and do a class group photo for each class.
- You are under no obligation to buy them until you’ve seen them. They will be posted online for you to view and you can order them there.
- All dancers should arrive to pictures with the costumes/tights/shoes already on and their hair and make-up (optional) already done. Please arrive ready to take photos!
- Each dancer must have an adult with them to supervise.
- We won’t wait for anyone so DO NOT BE LATE! If you’re late or you miss your time slot, you’ll miss your pictures!
IN-STUDIO DRESS REHEARSALS (Ages 3-7)

In-studio dress rehearsal Info
- In-Studio rehearsals are MANDATORY in order to perform in the recitals.
- These are for dancers ages 3-7 only in Pre-Ballet, Ballet/Tap and Hip Hop/Acro classes.
- These in-studio rehearsals are designed to bridge the gap between regular class and being on stage.
- Every dancer must have an adult (one) with them for their entire rehearsal time slot. You get to watch!
- Dancers should show up to these rehearsals in their costumes/tights/shoes and ready to dance.
- We’ll do a fun group warm-up and then each class will perform their dance for the other classes dancers/parents twice! It’s a fun, low-key way for them to practice in front of others.
ON-STAGE DRESS REHEARSALS (Levels 1-5, Ages 7+)

- Thursday, May 30, between 4-8:30pm
- Friday, May 31, between 4-9pm

On-Stage dress rehearsal Info
- On-Stage rehearsals are MANDATORY in order to perform in the recitals.
- This is for dancer's ages 7 and up, in level 1-5 classes only
- Dancers should show up to these rehearsals already in their costumes/tights/shoes, ready to dance.
- All dancers must have an adult with them during their time slot, once it’s confirmed, as there will not be supervision for your dancer during these rehearsals.
- You will sit in the audience before and after your rehearsal timeslot.
