High Level - Important Dates, Times & Info
RDC 2026 Important Recital Related Info

- Week of May 4-9: Costume Distribution Week and Final Parent Watch week!
- Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 – Recital pictures!
- Week of Monday, June 15 – Sunday, May 21: Your dancers schedule will be different this week. Your dancer will NOT have regular class this week. Instead they will have dress rehearsal and performance days/times. Each class has their own pre-assigned day and time for their pictures and dress rehearsal.
- Monday, June 15: RDC CLOSED for Recital Prep
- Tuesday 6/16, Wednesday ,6/17 & Thursday 6/18 from 4-9pm: Mandatory dress rehearsals at the theater for all dances.
- SATURDAY, JUNE 20 & SUNDAY, JUNE 21: RECITALS!

- Saturday, June 20: 12:00pm & 5:30pm
- Sunday, June 21: 12:00pm
- Who: All RDC dancers/classes will perform (except the toddler/caregiver and technique & progressions)
- Pre-Performance Attendance: A reminder to attend every class between April 1st and the recitals in June! It’s important your dancer be in class for the last 2.5 months before the performance, so they feel confident and prepared! If a dancer misses more than 3 classes between April 1st and the recital, they may not be able to participate in the performance.

- 85% of our dancers have multiple classes and/or multiple dancers in their family. It’s a good thing, but also presents a huge challenge when scheduling performances. We tried our best to assign families to just one show, but if you have multiple classes and/or students, your dancers are definitely in more than one show.
- Tickets & Seating
- Tickets will go on sale for recital volunteers on May 14th, and on May 18th for everyone else
- There may be a limit on the number of tickets you can purchase per dancer, per show to start. If we have shows that haven’t sold as many tickets as we have seats for by June 8, we’ll open those up for people to purchase more.
- It is assigned seating, so you will choose your seats when you buy them online.
- Tickets are $25 each, including fees.

Important Costume Dates
- January 5-17: Costume measurements taken in class
- February 2: Costume deposits due
- Weeks of May 4-9: In-class costume/tight distribution
Costume Process & Details
- RDC staff took dancer’s measurements in class the weeks of January 5th - 10th and 12th-17th. Our teachers chose the costumes for each class and then we sized them carefully and ordered everything your dancer needs. Don’t worry, we account for growth between January and June!
- Dancers will get a different costume for each of their classes. If you’re enrolled in a combo class (Ballet/Tap, Hip Hop/Acro) your dancer will do two dances and they’ll get a 2 in 1 costume, for one cost.
- There was a $75 per class costume deposit due up front that was posted to your account. The actual costs of each costume are being reconciled in April, and your account will be charged for any additional costs or credited for any difference in May.
- We work to keep costs down and our deposit amount is set at $75 to hopefully cover all costume costs, but costumes have increased quite a bit in cost over the last few years, so you should expect that you will have a small balance due, even after the $75 deposit.
- Costume, tights and accessories are included with your costume purchase.
- Families are responsible for shoes and any costume alterations needed.
- You will own these costumes and although it’s a LOT of money for an outfit they are going to wear only a few times, most of our dancers wear them for several years after for dress up, costume weeks at RDC and other things!

RECITAL PICTURES

- Who: All RDC dancers/classes!
- Details:
- The picture schedule is linked below. Find your class day, start time and class name to find your classes timeslot.
- We won’t wait for anyone so DO NOT BE LATE! If you’re late or you miss your time slot, you’ll miss your pictures.
- Each class has their own specific time slot for their pictures (see schedule at bottom of page).
- Every dancer will take an individual photo and do a class group photo for each class.
- You are under no obligation to buy them until you’ve seen them. They will be posted online for you to view and you can order them there.
- All dancers should arrive to pictures with the costumes/tights/shoes already on and their hair and make-up (optional) already done. Please arrive ready to take photos!
- Each dancer must have an adult with them to supervise them the entire time.
- Picture Days are not mandatory, but it's a great way to document your dancers year. We print a picture book each year with all class pictures, so you/your dancer will go down in RDC history!
Dress Rehearsals

- Who: All performing RDC dancers/classes!
- Details:
- On-Stage dress rehearsals are MANDATORY in order to perform in the recitals.
- Each class has a 10-20 minute timeslot on one of the days above. The detailed schedules are linked below.
- Dancers should show up to these rehearsals in their costumes/tights/shoes, ready to dance.
- All dancers must have an adult with them AT ALL TIMES in the theater, as there will not be supervision for your dancer during these rehearsals.
- You will sit in the audience before and after your rehearsal timeslot.
Recital FAQ's
You can find what show(s) your dancers is performing in by checking the Class recital assignment document below. We will have actual show orders confirmed by early May.
Your dancer will be required to arrive between 30-90 minutes (based on age/level) prior to their recital start time. This is so we don’t have everyone arriving at once and to make sure we get all dancers checked in before the show starts. Our youngest dancers will be just 30 minutes prior and our oldest dancers will be 90 minutes, as they need a full warm-up.
YOUR DANCER WILL STAY BACKSTAGE FOR THE ENTIRE SHOW, so they will NOT need a ticket! You’ll drop your dancer off at your assigned entrance to the recital and your dancer will stay backstage with our staff during the entire show with our backstage staff. You will then pick them up after the show is over!
WE WILL NEED MANY VOLUNTEERS DURING THE SHOWS! This is a great way to give back to our community and you can watch your dancer, for free from backstage. You can volunteer for a show your dancer is in and be with them backstage, or for a show they aren’t in, so you can watch from the audience. There are bunch of different roles you can fill. The online volunteer sign-up will be coming soon!
